Cancer Coverage for Missouri Firefighters
03/18/22 - Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters Announcing Firefighter Cancer Program in Missouri Putting Firefighters First Cancer coverage for eligible firefighters will be available in March to all Missouri municipal and district fire operations through the Missouri Fire Fighter Critical Illness Pool (MFFCIP). Contributions will be prorated for a January 1 annual policy term. |

Firefighter Polson died while courageously fighting a house fire in the 5900 block of Cote Brilliante earlier today. Arrangements will be forthcoming. |

12/06/21 - Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters With great sadness, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and IAFF Local 1084 announce the death of our friend and family member, Captain Ivan LaGrand. Ivan passed Wednesday evening, December 1, 2021, after a brief battle with COVID-19. Ivan has served our community since August 1996, and was looking forward to retirement in about a year. |
