The Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters is saddened by the tragic news of the line of duty death of IAFF Local 3112 Member, Firefighter/Paramedic Charles “Chuck” McCormick. Brother McCormick died battling a house fire with West Peculiar Fire Protection District."
Firefighter/Paramedic Chuck McCormick lived a life of service with the National Guard 1135th Engineer Company from September 2011 thru 2014; serving the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services from October 2014 thru September 2017; served with South Metro Fire Protection District from January 2018 thru November 2019; and began serving West Peculiar Fire Protection District in December 2018.
Chuck is survived by his wife Rachel; his three sons Kyler, Kaiden and Kolten; his mother Melanie; brothers Warren and William.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the Abundant Life Church, located at 304 SW Persels Rd., Lee's Summit, MO 64081. With the family present from 4 PM till 6 PM. A Firefighters walk-through will occur at 5:30 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Abundant Life Church, located at 304 SW Persels Rd., Lee's Summit, MO 64081.
Full professional honors will be afforded.
Cemetery Services will be private, although an apparatus procession to the cemetery will occur.
